You should be able to replace the fluid. There's a plug on top. Use a siphon hose and try to drain as much of the fluid out as possible. Replace with synthetic 5W30. (I think the recommendation is 5w30; search this fourm to verify). The other alternative is to take the tranny out and flip it upside down to drain.
