I have a one plus 7 pro, off and on for the last ~3 months the cameras and flash light have stopped working, with the flashlight button in the drop down being greyed out saying 'camera in use', randomly, whilst in use not after a restart the issue will stop and work flawlessly for 2-3 days but upon closing the front camera after use the issue
I also have this problem. When I opened it, I found out that the front camera ribbon cable is cut. The front camera and the back camera uses the same board attachment. Since, I have been using this phone for almost 4 years. I bought another andriod phone other then fixing it. Hope this helps

One possible option is to try booting PC to some Linux distro live USB and seeing if the PC recognizes the OnePlus 7 Pro. Another option might be booting to TWRP recovery and seeing if the PC can recognize the phone when connected.

So I recommend everyone to just get the front camera replaced while the rear one works if you are certain that your front camera stopped working due to the cable issue. (You would know if the front camera fails while showing some blurred or pixelated and frozen images while it tries to pop open in the earlier stages of the fault)

Its design is rich, it has a great screen, a slick interface and stacks of power under the hood. The selfie camera sucks in low light, it's like I've a got a basic device. The camera isn't how it is supposed to be in a flagship, I guess the Nord has a better selfie camera. My friend who's using a OnePlus 7 has a better night selfie camera in video chat, than my OnePlus 8 pro, this a sample of selfie and the video chat is even worse.
The front & rear camera of OP7pro stopped working after the last Oxygen OS 10.3.8.GM21AA update. I did the factory reset and the rear camera stopped as well. It restarts on its own if you open the camera. Try clearing the cache and storage for the camera app, then restart the phone (in that order).
